This will be a book chassis as i stated on the title, and will be powered by a mild to hot built 3TC engine W50 trany and a 10 bolt 1st gen celica rearend. 14 inch wheels and i cant wait to start in it after christmas, as i got the engine already on break in in my friend Corolla, as you can see in this picture.

I will be fabing my chassis with some changes on the fly so stay tuned!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,

I am from Mableton GA

I got some bad ass drag 3tc builds from customers in PR where i am from, and i do do a 180 to 210 hp N/A 3TC for this project that would be enough to give me the performance i really want i guess from what i am reading around the net, the weight on this car will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1350 Lbs. after it is completed so that would be great.

The 3TC engine is way underestimated by many cuz its age, but it is a very capable powerplant with a lot of aftermarket support and virtually bullet proof.

Take a look on this other one i am doing for another customer at home.

120 foot of 1x1 .065 ERW Fot the chassis, 16 foot of DOM round 1x.065 for the A-arms front suspension and rear control arms and 20 foot of DOM round tube 1 1/2 x .095 for the roll bars,

the DOM round tube 3/4 x .065 is back ordered, all for the price of $165, not a bad start.

+1 for another Toyboy! I've worked on some 3tc AE82's along with my many 86's, and although I agree about the 3tc bein underated, I also haven't personally seen any 4ag's throw rods through the block like I've seen on 3tc's!

I'm just messin wicha! Paradise Racing's 7sec AE86 Doesn't run a 4a, : (
their 2tc/3tc hybrid, its something to marvel at, as are some of the engines you have pictured!

Congrats on making the plunge, and I'll be watching your build closely, keep us up to date

Yeah, i have seen 4AGE with windows on the block too, but for the same reason the 3T do, hydrolock, that is the only reason a 3t or 4AG trow rods out, in the 3t i have seen it more often cuz guys are overconfident on the old warriors, and not all the guys do em right, but yeah they are awesome, and i love all TOYOTA stuff

And i will keep you guys posted with pictures all the time on this build, i cant wait to start 100% on it after Christmas, maybe before 8) 8)

Rear end from AE86 SR-5 (for now) till i get the Celica rear end i want from the 1st gen Celica, this will be redrilled for 4x100mm to match the front hubs!

Why not independent rear ? I think the ride quality will be better and handling too.

2 reasons for that!
1- simplicity of the project
2- i got the rear end already

Also IMO the handling improvements arent that significant over the weight difference betwine the 2 , always think the live axle way balance better this little car on weigh bias!

+1 solid rear!

Probably since I ran an SR5 drum rear for a month, than upgraded to GTS disc rear for a few years, then a MA45 Supe rear for last 5yrs. (Best)

Ran Rx-7's for years, and CAN'T STAND wheel hop!
