Very Sexy!
Any chance you've worked out the air intake on your miata engine?
Can you post pics of placement and parts (if it's not OEM), still working mine out.

I read through your build and I think my set up will be drastically different that yours since I'm turbo'ed. Right now I have the AFM hanging off of the turbo inlet ready for first start and first drive. Once that is completed I will hook up my Megasquirt-PNP with the IAT kit and eliminate the AFM all together.........but that won't be for a little while. Regardless I'll post of few pics once I get home of my current setup.

Ah, you're going turbo...no biggie. I had thought the same but figured I'd see how fast it is w/o turbo before spending the $$.

Posted pics above if you still interested.

I thought about the NA route first then upgrade to turbo later but the turbo, manifold, and plumbing (intake, exhaust, coolant, oil) all proved a mock-up nightmare. Packaging everything under the hood within the confines of the chassis is challenging, and I didn't want to do any major chassis surgery at a later date. Probably the biggest issue was the steering column and exhaust routing.

It's alive.............video to come shortly.

Yes, it leaked water from a few fittings that weren't tight enough. Yes, it leaked fuel from the tank bulkhead fittings that needed new O-rings. Yes, it definitely leaked out oil from the empty oil pressure sending unit hole.......it helps to have it screwed into the correct hole, not the one two inches away.
Then after a few hours of trouble shooting, spark, fuel, I got it narrowed down to the AFM. Went to remove it to do the tests and guess what.....the AFM doesn't work if you install it backwards. If you look at the above photos from my earlier posts you will see how not to install the AFM.

Now it's time to triple double check all of the fasteners, get the brakes filled/bleed (fix those inevitable leaks), and make a few low speed runs.

First drive video. Racked up 4.2 miles today giving rides around the neighborhood. No leaks, no fires, nothing broke or fell off............but the horn doesn't work again. Time to get ready for the licensing proceses.
