Gave up on the rear barcket for the top mount. :BH: So I did a mod to the upright. Still need to remove some carting.

Love the build! Is that an ej20g? Great engine.

I'll be "borrowing" some of your ideas for my build.

Are all your posts supposed to have pictures on them "Here is an idea for the wishbone."

Because I haven't seen a pic yet, but I have seen lots of post that seem to indicate a reference to a picture

Liberal arts grad here.

What I'm told is that the top control arm has most of its load due to the torque of the braking forces -- ie, rotating front to back. Yea, there are some loads holding the wheel upright ("Camber"), but nothing compared to the braking stuff.

My "looks about right" sense is that the rear control arm should be set to oppose this rotational force, which would mean either moving the wheel-side inboard, or the frame-side "out". Right now it's pretty much set up for the camber loads only?

The rear IRS will be a trailing arm system, so the pushing and pulling will pass through the trailing arm's to the frame.

I think you're looking at trouble with your rear wheel bearings if you can't get that upright into the rim aways. I'm looking at connecting the trailing arms on the control arm links to get an extra inch or two of space.

Good point. That is why I went with the front AWD upright. Hoping that the larger bearings that handle the turning force of the stock cars front axle will help with some of the offset wheel, when used in the rear ?

Nice work and a lot of good discussion on the way to do things. That is where this group is a great wealth of knowledge.
