Please tell me those are NOT the tail-lamps you will be running! :ack:
Way too large for my eye, and certain to limit any effectiveness of the wing.

You are right. They are too large. Had them laying around. Haven't decided exactly what I will use. Many, many decisions left, such as headlight placement(height), grill opening size and shape, body color, etc, etc.

You've got a lot of neat stuff going on in there. You appear to have done a great job repurposing as much as possible from your donor. Thanks for the windshield information too! That definitely could be a viable option for my build as well.

Thanks. One thing I haven't mentioned. I actually used the Miata front sub-frame with the steering rack and a-arms intact. Also was able to use the stock Miata radiator. One problem though was the shocks were too tall to fit under the lalo fenders. That's why I turned them horizontal and used a pushrod and bellcrank. It seems to work ok.

The windshield was not super expensive. It was about $180.

What's the height and width on that?

$180 is about what a new windshield for my Malibu costs. A replacement for the cracked one in my daily-driver Geo Metro is right at $600, best price I've found. That's the windshield the La Bala kit used. Surely Ron Graber could have found something cheaper...

Photoman wrote, "The windshield measures 53 inches across tip to tip and about 16 inches high. The height can vary depending on how you tilt the glass"

Hey Rod, you did a bunch of cool stuff between 2015 and 2017 that you haven't logged. Inquiring minds want to know about...

-The doors. What are they and how did you do that?

-The front fender flares.

-The Miata subframe pushrod shocks.

Man, I sure hope you took lots of photos.

Your project is looking great and I love it.*

*Except for the wing. That, I hate. But maybe it will grow on me.

I'm getting close to bonding the two nose sections together. After playing with the wheel arches, I think I finally have enough experience with fiberglass to tackle the job.

The doors are aluminum sheet, .040 thickness. I'll post some more detail of the doors shortly.

yeah. no. it won't. Sorry Rod. Calling it a spoiler is certainly correct, because it definitely spoils the nice smooth lines of the car. Further, that's a factory bolt-on unit, and I'd be surprised if it had any meaningful downforce at all. The far greater majority of factory "spoilers" are styled, and not much else. Its a great drag-producer, for sure. not just aerodynamically either 'cuz it a bit of a drag to look at. ;-)

sometimes the jokes just write themselves, really...

if you want to kill lift at the back end, it'd be better - and better looking - to install a simple lip (like the '68-72 Stingray) and build a Kamm-style flat tail underneath for tailight space.

On the other hand, the Corvette windscreen is brilliant, so the karma is balanced. Barely. ;-)

I finally got up the nerve to join the two nose cones. My nose is about six inches wider than the original, so I had to add some filler.
I then sanded the underside on both halves to get a good tooth. On the outside I applied a piece of masking tape, to act as a gasket
of sorts. I then taped on a piece of roof flashing aluminum to act as a mold. Then I turned the piece up side down and used fiberglass
cloth and resin, extending outside the open space about six inches on each side. I will have to add some bondo to finish the outside.
