The body has a 90 inch wheelbase.

Put those pics up on "Forgotten fiberglass" and it will be identified.
Really does look familiar to me, beyond the clear 'Vette inspiration but I've been away from old kits for a long time.

Also looks like it might have been a driver in the past.

Ahhh, I think I may remember something about that body.
Not the name, but that only a few were made before GM lawyers jumped on the manufacturer.
So not one-off but still very rare.

Builder needs to get rid of the oversize drag-slick flares and restore the body lines!

Pretty certain the guys at FF will know it.

I've been working part time on the jig. It's almost done. I'm leaving for vacation to AZ and CA in the morning. I'll get back at it when I return.

I had a great vacation. I returned home a couple of weeks ago but haven't gotten to the shop to work on the frame until today.
- While I was gone I purchased a MGB windshield/frame and wiper system off of Ebay. I saw a Cheetah build on another forum. The builder used the MGB windshield. I thought the look and size was right.
- I also purchased a new welding helmet that accepts a cheater, magnifying lens. My close up vision isn't as good as it use to be.

- Today I worked on making a jig for one side of the frame. I'm going to continue tomorrow. I hope by Monday that I'll be at a point where I can build me frame. I need to get going if I'm going to get this on the road this summer.

The B windshield looks great. I was thinking of this as one of the likely options for the Bauhaus. Can you give us some dimensions on it?

Here you go Terry.

- Over all width at the bottom. (To outside edges of the frame) 52 inches
- Inside width of the mounting legs. 48.25 inches
- Height in the center from the bottom of the frame to the top of the frame. 16inches.
- I think that when the windshield is laid back to the angle I'll want it is about 12 inches from the center of the dash to the top of the center of the frame.

I hope that helps. If you need more measurements let me know.

My cheetah frame is 46 inches wide. This is the outside width. The MGB windshield is the perfect width for what I'm doing.

I've found several complete assemblies, frame with glass, from $125. And, new glass from $77.

This is fantastic info. I just posted on my build log the dimensions for the '53-'56 Corvette. The channel for the glass measures 52.25".

Since the Bauhaus frame is 50.5" wide, and I will have body outside of that too, either option will work. The wrap around is pretty cool, but the laid back B glass as you have it on your rig is awesome.

I'm making progress. I pulled the final frame design out of the jig. As it sits it weighs 222lbs. It needs final touch up and welding.
- I assembled the the major parts to the frame to check for final fitment. Everything looks good.
- I put the body on the frame make final design changes and to fit it to the frame. I like the proportions and look.
- Tomorrow I will continue with fiberglass work. I'm going to be shaping the rear deck so that the rear deck has a side to side arch and so that there is a transition between the wheel arches and deck. In the deck I have this mocked up.
- The dash is from a Kellison.
- I will not be using the air cleaner shown. I think that I will mold in a shroud for the carb and distributor. Then use a cast aluminum scoop.
