What a great day... to take an old car like this, give it new life, and legally, legitimately, get it back on the road... You, your son, and Captain Morgan make a great team... It's been just short of 3 years ago to the day (Oct 7, 2017), and look where she is now.. I wish I could keep up your build pace.. so impressive.. what a long strange trip it's been

Wow, that was fast, Perry. Great work! The car is looking fabulous.

For some reason, while watching the video, I flashed on an original engineer from Fiat getting into the car and seeing the shift indicator (Park, reverse, drive, ect.) and not having any idea what that was.

Started on the interior. Made a pattern and cut and sewed the carpet for the tunnel. patterned and cut the carpet for the DS and PS. Patterned and cut and sewed carpet for behind the seat (no pic).

Ha Ha Ha, don't be fooled Lonnie, it's a poor mans carpet
Actually it wasn't that bad Thom, I used this stuff called patterning plastic for upholstery. Lay it out, it's see through (it's reinforced so that it won't distort), and mark your shape with a sharpie. The tunnel took 4 patterns. Transfer the pattern to the carpet, cut and sew. Also sewed hook and loop to the carpet where desired and the stuck it's mating piece to the tunnel and the carpet sits in place without moving. The floor was easy, pattern, cut out waterproof underlay, cut out the carpet, lay it down. Used the tunnel method for behind the seat also. Still need to do the firewall.
Got about a 120 miles on the car now.

Worked on patterning and cutting carpet for the firewall, it's done! It's black and the pic doesn't do it justice.

Then I made construction paper patterns for the door panels. Cut out the panels from 1/8 hard board. Cut out black vinyl, sewed a couple of pouches, sewed and glued it all together and installed the door panels. They are a friction fit in the doors, will see how that goes.
Gentlemen (and ladies) I do believe I can put this build behind me. I have 100 miles on the car and any further work will be repairs not fabrication.
