Steve,
I'm using a Speeduino to run just the ignition for the time being. I might go fuel injection sometime in the future.

As for the Europa, I did a build log on here for it as well https://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=15703

I just went thru your Europa build. WOW!

In 1974 I decided I wanted to replace my 65 Citroen DS21 Pallas (my 1st wife hated its looks). After a bit of research I decided a Europa would be the right car in LA while I was in college (and before USAF flight school was scheduled).

After a test ride at the dealership, I told my wife that that was the car we should buy. She asked where we would put a car seat? I stared at her for a couple of seconds before I realized what she was trying to say.

That ended that portion of my life for about 25 yrs- ended up with a new AMC Hornet hatchback that my wife loved (worst car I ever owned). Few years later we got rid of the Hornet and a few years after that, she was gone too! Still have the kid :D

Steve,
Yes, the Zetecs are ex Focus. I prefer solid lifter motors though I'm sure I'll be cursing at myself if I ever want to get different cams.

Thom,
Yes, Europas definitely aren't family cars. Luckily (or maybe unlucky depending on who you ask), i don't have any kids and the GF really enjoys the Europa and the BGT. Unfortunately, the Europa might be put up for sale as it just doesn't get driven much.
