I would think that and this would make a nice tie...

yes, but we keep forgetting that there is a fixed mounted engine in there that will add stiffness to that area..

anyway... I have played a bit, adding your and SportsCarDesigner "brace" but using thin 20x1.5 mm tubing..

so, if with both braces we get 100%, just SportsCarDesigner "brace" gives 98%, none gives 86%... I'd say worthwhile use of 1 kg...

I'm wondering if you modeled the proposed version with SCD's tube new tube running even further forward on the chassis. It would also be fully triangulated and located even closer to where loads are being introduced. It has me curious.

will try it... however I am not so sure of it because then you get an even shallower angle + longer tube (which will be prone to bending)..

however I'll try it a bit later, too busy at the moment.. :)

You didn't cut any corners on speccing hardware. Very nice.

ohh, well, I specced everything and welded most of the frame before I checked the prices.. :)

good part is that these rodends are very high quality but cost less then aurora ones.. :)

I like these washers with rubber lips.. At first I wanted to use a rubber boot but did not have space for it really..

So I'll just squirt some grease under these and that shoud keep the dirt and water away...

a really busy past few months..

been working in solidworks to finalize the uprights and get some quotes for the CNC... The original idea was to have the centers turned and then weld the uprights from some 4130 tubing I have... however I think I'll just have them CNC'd from billet alu.. but more of that a bit later..

had to solve the sump situation.. Dry sump was out of the question, due to cost and complexity of additional electric water pump, etc..

Then on another forum I found a mention of a good wet sump for suzuki gsxr from rilltech racing..

They basicallt move the oil inlet further forwards, and togeather with an additional baffle solve the oil pressure dip problem under braking.. + there are baffles for side oil movement in turns, with movable doors..

yeah, I am counting on that too, although I understand it is not necessary with this sump...

I'll probably get one though..

Ooh man, so do I! I've never seen such a thing, where did you get them? Are there big bins of them in the Croatian Costcos?
