I agree a Montreal/Quebec club would be fun,

nothing formal.... I know of a Birkin owner who would also be interested as well as my self and my buddy Marc.....

It's just a question of setting a meeting place... Will probably bring a car to the Old car show in Beaconsfield in May....

But it would be nice to meet before...

Cheers,

Fred

Okie dokie, let's then start informal "7 replica freaks club", or any other name, as for
meeting place, it can be my place (no parking problem) few blocks from Hipopo tunnel
in Montreal, as for date, it's up to you people to decide, just leave a note to califkid_66

Sorry for my bad french, I've never attended any french or english class.
and wish to repeat once more. that for those interested in seriously building
a replica of Lotus 7, we (my son and I) are willing to share the 40 years experience
in this fantastic hobby. As for registering hand built cars in Quebec, we do have
all necessary information for those who do not put the cart before a horse. (sort of
speaking) build your rig first, then worry about registering it after.

Chers

Ewhen (the Lotus7 freak)

I personally don`t want a real club, I`m already an admistrator in one of Quebec Race club and that`s enough for me.

Like Ehwen I want to meet and discuss with people serious about building Se7ens... No internet dreaming for me... Sorry I must of had more that 20-30 people stop by over the years but only a couple have actually started building cars... As my first two projects were track only cars I didn't have to bother with the SAAQ. My next few projects are going street driven so this is something that I have to address.

I`ve got a good idea, but as always I welcome the opportunity to discuss how others have done it. I wouldn't mind a stop at the Cage. Also my club will have an open house in May or June so we can all get together with a few se7ens...

Cheers

Fred

i do understand you, it is just a little gang that we want to do, kind of help each other, not with the forum and all the bla bla. i know what you pass thru, have been in the echo and yaris club for 4 year.....that's enought for me.....even my girlfriend gonna give birth winthin 2 weeks, no time for this. like you know, i'm building mine for street, and now i'm aware of everything to plate it, i already have a good word from someone who know those car, more than me and you, for sure. so now a built my car with confident to plate it. when you know, it is easy. ................but no crapy work..........

cheer fred, see you, francois

dont worry, i just learn more when a met a guy, and he show me how, what and because of the spindle i use, they will be smaller but thicker, in fact, a copy of the original of the tacoma (toyota), my donor, or pre runner 2 wheel drive.

As for my seriousness, lets say i'm still planning. not having acces to a garage does not help...
i definetly plan on building one for the road as soon as i will be able to!
probably a miata based build to keep it simple. will not use factory subframe tough.
