Keep getting my feelings hurt over the heart condition. I had a cardiac ablation a few months ago to clear up my a-fib. Both my primary Doc and my Cardiologist have footnoted in my charts "history of Syncope"

No racing in my future except Solo events.

Is this a check item on a form? You can ask around SCCA members for a doctor familiar with SCCA etc. Not saying anyone would or should ignore serious issues. In our region they used to have a doctor at one of their annual meetings, and he would go thru and perform many exams. There are items on the forms that can give a doctor unfamiliar pause for thought.

Wheel to wheel does raise the ante though, both for competitors sharing the track and also just the load on your system. There is plenty of adventure in Solo events on real tracks and also hill climbs.

My local club used to make it down to Summit Point, but it seems this year Pocono is as far south as we will get.

My sympathies...
:(

My application made it to medical review. The SCCA doc called my cardiologist. My doc said I'm currently showing no symptoms, but he wouldn't recommend me for a wheel to wheel license.

Turns out my cardiologist used to race Formula 440 back in the 80's.

I think my wife put him up to it to squash my racing fantasy.

I raced SCCA and I raced Karts. I liked Karts much better. Might just be me, but if I was healthy enough to race again I go with Karts.

Sorry to hear man. As someone who can't do much due to health, I feel your pain.
Hopefully in a couple of years with no repeat issues, you will be able to get on track/course. In the mean time, enjoy Solo. Plenty of fun to be had there.
