Hey, you can send ol' Bengt-Ace an email... Betcha he speaks English... Or he's bound to have at least one friend that does...

You beat me to the punch, that was on my To Do List for today.

I've emailed him and we'll see what he has to say.

I'd rather not have to build from scratch, but if you can do it then so can I.

I've been in contact with several people in Norway today. Ain't technology amazing!!!

Here's another video showing the highlights of the 2013 season

I have a friend who has a company in the U.S. and in Croydon, UK and have asked him about how to ship and he's given me some good advise and agreed to handle it for me. I'm told to expect it to cost at least $1,000.

The Club in Norway is checking with the manufacturer to see if he'll sell and ship a body to the U.S. Because of the time differential I'm sure it will be tomorrow at the earliest before I hear back.

They say it takes a lot of modifications to make the body fit and are translating the instructions for me. I'm at the perfect stage to make any necessary frame mods.

I is excite! Now if only there were a way to make the front splitter an adjustable wing . . .

Hmmmm, anyone know how to get Firefox for Mac to translate a Norwegian web page?

Usually when it's a foreign language I see a little red box in the upper left of my screen, but nothing this time and I can't see a drop down menu for it either.

Still haven't found a way to translate Norwegian web pages but I have been corresponding with the 7 club over there about the body.

Here's another one they use. I don't like this one as much as the other. The nose isn't as sculptured. I can't really tell how or if the sides vary.

Makes it look a little like an old school jeep to me.

Search for "Google translate". Maybe Chrome will do this automagically.

I'll try that. Firefox usually offers me that option automatically, but it doesn't on Norwegian.

Here's some info I received about the series and the body. I had asked about the balance with the rear wing and wondered if the front splitter offset the rear wing plus about how the body came out of the molds to see shipping sizes. I've asked about chassis mods that need to be done to fit the body, but so far no pics or details. I'll keep you posted.

In Scandinavia, this is a big racingseries, and especially in Norway this is one of the series that recruits and produces some of the best drivers in Scandinavia.

Some of the drivers I can mention in a hurry is Andreas Mikkelsen (WRC), Atle Guldbrandsen (VLN), Kenneth Moen(Drifting), Marius Nakken (ThunderCar) and so on... Marius Nakkens is currently racing against drivers like Jan Magnussen, Dennis Lind, Casper Elgaard, etc..
Wich makes us lucky I guess.

The body comes in 5 pieces straight out of the mould, so you basically have to cut and adapt everything yourself.

When it comes to aerodynamic both the splitter and wing helps balancing the car alot better, and of course improve traction. But you will not feel any difference at all unless you are a really fast driver. On a 3.4 kilometer track we improved our laptimes by 0,5 seconds, wich is alot in racing, but not something I would think you will notice on a trackday :)
The only way to really balance your car, is by changing the springs so that it matches the weight of your car, and your drivingstyle of course.

We also use dampers (with rebound/compression - and height adjustment) from protech to adjust the cars to the spesific track, trackcondition, weather and temperature.

Most of uses motorcycle engines. But some also uses car engines.

The rules of Seven Racing says that you can have a maximum power output of 200hp and maximum 2.0 liter engine.
To make the cars equal we uses a formula who looks like this :
For example:
181hp (+ 2% if you are using a sequential gearbox) * 3 + 80 kg.

I am using a Kawasaki ZX12R engine in my car. To give you some idea of the performance it accelerates from 0-100km/t in about 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 220 km/t.

We are mostly using the chassis from MK Sportscars and Stuart Taylor, but I am not sure of the exact size to be honest.

I have been in contact with Jørn Martin Aalerud of the Norsk Seven Car Club about a body. Is that you guys or someone else?

I'm just waiting on an invoice.

PM'd

EDIT: I just converted currency and I've been offered a much better price than that.

It turns out that Michael is just a concerned citizen trying to help out by giving us some information. I'm already dealing directly with the main people.

We've PM'd and he's a nice guy. Maybe he'll join our group more often and give us some ideas from another perspective.

Very nice bodies, I do like the first shown best. In so many ways it would make our cars modern without loosing the past. Keep us posted on what a price is landed in USA ! The best price would be if we shipped a container load this way. Any takers to the west coast ? thanks Ingmar

They are building me one right now. It will have to be modified to fit my chassis and I'm going to figure out a way (module) to add head lights to it.

I still don't know the exact price, completion date or shipping costs.

Any chance they'll send pictures? It'd be like a "baby book" for your car!!!
