Just come back From Redline time attack event at BW13 last weekend
http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/

Did 2:02. at First day. study Vbox Data. figure some more different line

I did a 2:00.7( with traffic) at today moring pratice session. but the lap after, blow the brake point at magic mountain. went off road for 100 feet .... and I just cant get any where faster mabe just my eagle so 6 0f my time attack laps I did not get better then my first pratice session.but still manage to do 2:00.8 at sec part of time attack session

The car feel great with new set up now I wish I have more power(only have 109 mile top speed at back straight way). is pretty slow compare to other car) !!!! and need better brake blance, too, also My Junk yard motor is dieing..... did a oil change at sat find out bearing in the oil.( this been happend for more then 6mo) but is getting worse..... however the engine still have great oil PSI at WOT.

I am 0.6 sec away from first place of MOD RWD. again the infamous Matt andrew Turbo miata !! I am pretty happy with result I get. I sitll want to get down to 1:59!!!

BTW in case you guys wonder what is typical super car's time

In that video that looks like an R1 shock in action. At times it looks to be on the bumpstop. Do you feel that?

OK, looks like you can lower the front of your car. There's a lot of weight there with the engine. Might be a lot of work though to make a big difference. What size wheels/tires are you using?

What are you using for a motor?

Have you considered any other aero mods to let you carry more speed into the turns? In that pic showing the cars speeds/lap times, the At-om 2 is faster overall, though not top speed. And aerodynamic, it is not. Since you are power limited, maybe the added downforce would add some speed in the turns. It would cut some of your speed off of the straights, but I think you would gain more time in the turns, just like the At-om. I dunno, already pretty damn fast.

Ya i should really lower my front suspension pick up point... but I enjoy my car more then working or get it to perfect !! I think i am getting very close to redo a lot of thing

I have 225/45/15 NT01

i use 1985 MAZDA GSl-SE 13B with 45MM side draft

118 mile is pretty fast ;) I only have 109 on Back straight way.

I think with current aero mod is pretty balance on flat ou 3th gear speed turn like Cotton hill. sweeper. but at river side the 4 WOT. i could be faster with GT wing. but i might slow down a bit too much at straigh. but you never know until you have data on your hand

On a ultra-lite/experimental airplane (Kinda looked like a Sopwith Camel) I was looking at, its speed indicator was a small metal flag that would catch wind, faster it went, the more the flag would bend across the graduated scale showing speed. Pretty cool I thought. LC and low weight. I wonder if this would also make a cheap, variable force wing, so that at a certain level of down force the wing would be pushed flat. Helping with top speed, yet still giving some push. Serious math would probably be needed to calc the proper numbers.

Would like more pics of the rear if you get time, tnks.

I'm no aerophysicist, but I think the problem with that is it would start to flap and flutter in all the turbulence and end up costing you a bunch of drag without making much downforce.

Even if mounted like this? Mounted on a flat front spoiler/wing, like on Del Longs car, and or on the rear roll bar. With no side pieces, they should catch little or no side drafts. I cannot draw whats in my head, but this kinda what I mean.

Movable aero devices are illegal in most clubs ( at least I think so.. ). For good reasons. It's just a simple rule that prevents all kinds of trouble.

I don't know if this car is being driven on the street, but anything to lower the center of gravity should be done. I know it would be a lot of work to move the front suspension pickup points, which is why I didn't mention it. But since you brought it up, :), you need to do it. Also move the battery as low as possible and in the rear if you can.

I only watched a Seven briefly from behind on a track once. But it was clearly top heavy and struggling with roll. I think ones that are lowered look happier...

Not trying to discourage you, your having fun and enthusiasm is so much help to get thru all the effort :)
