I run a Westfield Megabusa in autcross events and it has a serious appetite for half shafts. It has an independent rear with Land Rover Freelander diff with LSD conversion.

Last year I broke the left side half shaft at the start line. A couple of weeks ago I broke both half shafts at the start line.

Anyone out there have ideas as to why the shafts are breaking? The Westfield factory runs race teams in the U.K. and they tell me that they have never suffered a failure.

Anyone know a source in the Chicago/Midwest area that could manufacture stronger custom shafts?

Post decent photos of the broken parts and the diff mounting setup.

There are several reasons a shaft can break.
