Check it out, these guys are reworking the Haynes design to use the Miata as a single donor. They say they're going to post full chassis drawings for download soon.

I liked his phrase,"using a new technique with will make construction a doddle". I wish my construction was a doddle.(I think)

It will be interesting to see what they come up. I didn't pick up on that line about construction ease. Any idea what they are up to?

I'd like to see a project here to update the Locost frame and make some improvements to it. I wasn't able to pick up sketchup quick enough though and had to set my welding rod model effort aside for awhile.

AWESOME!

I'm curious about the front-end geometry. Anyone have info on their wishbones?

I came across this thread on the Haynes Forum and it looks really promising for anyone wanting to use a Miata as a donor: http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5753 and this is a link to the company that provides free drawings: http://www.saturnsportscars.co.uk/mx5.php You can click on the "DOWNLOAD PDF FILE" button and get very detailed instructions. The drawings are free and include everything!

Looks like as of right now they haven't released the drawings for the wishbones. However one of the news pages it looks like they are planning on releasing the drawings and selling completed sets.

Hi All

Thanks, first of all to EMGR3 for posting up and pointing me over here; I have been on before but in a different guise; I am Airhead also.

The bone drawings are now up on our site http://www.vodouautokits.co.uk I hope that they are of use to you chaps.

I hope that it is not bad form to point out that the saturn link above is to our main competitor who's parts won't fit our chassis...

Soon to follow will be the mounting plates etc for the diff nose, gearbox and motor, handbrake (sorry e-brake) :?

Well done Matt, take pride in what you have done and the way you are doing it and don't worry about cockheads who not only expect things for free but expect you will come to their house, build it and give them a foot massage while your at it - they will never actually buy or finish a car themselves and just aren't relevant even though they want to be heard.

I like your angle at enterprise, be patient as it will be a helpful stepping stone to establishing future business which I'm sure you have in mind.

Wish you and Talon every success.

Good Morning America,

The Vodou chassis and suspension geometry have all been designed using the "magic" of computers to ensure all is well with the world of going round corners.
The bodywork is an all new fresh approach with some sweet details to make the finished car stand out and be noticed.

I thought I could walk away from Kit cars after I sold up in 2009(Triton Race Products) but Matt was very persuasive so I have been advising on chassis and body work and can safely say the quality rivals the "big boys" in the Kit Car Industry rather than just a cheap as chips entry level kit car or parts.

Cheers,
Mark

Looks good guys!

BTW don't use Firefox on the site as there's a few things that don't quite work right. IE, in firefox you can't get to the 3d diagram of the rear wishbone.

Which is really bad form as I develop using FF... A fix for the website will be forthcoming soon as will the 3D renderings of the rest of the bones and other components.
