I just visited Online Metals in Ballard and the shipping manager said it would not cost much to get the metal to my house. He was a great guy and volunteered to get me some scrap to practice welding on. I would like to go with the cold rolled but I am having a difficult time finding it. I will most likely go with the hot rolled. I may go from 16g to 14g for the long frame rails.

I've found the hot roll tubing from Online Metals to be very good. I've been ordering it for years. The finish is smooth and clean.

What strength grades do you get with each?
