Hi Guys,

I was wondering if the frame is suppose to bend a little. I placed my frame on jack stands, and place a 2x4 across the engine bay and sat on it. I can see the frame flex down a little. Maybe 1/4 inch max? I'm about 200 lbs, and Im guessing a motor/trans is about 350lbs. This has me a little worried. I havent placed the floor panel or the cross side bracing or engine plates in.

Is this normal?

Sounds normal to me. The triangulation of the side braces and the aluminum skin are where much of the strength comes from.

Thanks a lot. Was a bit worried. Since I am new to welding and fabing right now.

It will stiffen up once the rest of the braces & panels are in place. Plus, the suspension is designed to absorb the flex so the frame doesn't have to.

It's all good...
