Going to start the hunt for a running/driving salvage Miata.

I know from reading here that the 2001+ NB with VVT have some hood clearance issues, so looking at 99-00.

Are there any fitment issues to be concerned about with the NC? I remember preferring the NC 6spd over the NB 6MT, as I found myself hitting the 'corner' of R when going for 5th quickly, not a problem on the NC.
How is the NC as a donor, as far as the rest of the running gear?

NC has a multi-link rear suspension, rather than double A-arm, so that may be more difficult to adapt to a Locost.

I've never been under an NC. Is its multi-link suspension in a single bolt-to-the-chassis unit, like the earlier Miatas?

Looks like it is, though the mounting would not be quite as simple as the NA/NB, still looks very usable.

Thanks Beelzeboss, and though I don't see how it mounts to the chassis, just the fact that it DOES mount to the chassis gives me hope. :)
