Yo, JWestie-
I bet it's been done, but I don't recall one. My experience with Jags is from "back in the day" when I had a Series III sedan, an 88 XJ40 sedan and even a 68 E-Type over the years... Parts are Godawfuldamned expensive for those things!

On the other side of the coin, the old Twin-Cam Six sure does sound wonderful...

As an alternative to the Uber-expensive Jaguar, how about a Supra inline six. It looks like a slightly scaled down Jag, the transmission is strong, and they're way less expensive than the jag 6. With the right exhaust system, I'll bet their music is every bit as sweet!

I'm all for building Locosts out of British donors, but a Jag wouldn't be cheap.

I recall seeing a post somewhere about a somewhat bloated 7 with a jag v-12. British site somewhere.

I may be wrong but I believe the EMod pink Panther previously had a Jag V12 engine. He has just rebuilt the car with a smaller engine and it is an MG, well actually a tube frame car that looks like an MG not a 7.
