I have a Toyota V6 with a hydraulic engine mount. I'm thinking that replacing it with a rubber mount should be effective, and reduce potential complications. Anyone have any idea if this will become a vibration issue?

If it's a 60 degree v6 they tend to run pretty smooth. It has to do with primary balance and not needing an offset weight in the flywheel to balance the engine. My engine isn't a toyota, but it is a 60 degree v6, and it doesn't vibrate much even with solid steel engine mounts.

Thanks Kristian. These are supposed to be smooth engines, but that is in a passenger car with said hydraulic mounts.

I've driven a pre-balance-shaft Chevy 4.3L even-fire V8 on Poly nounts, it wasn't even noticeable 99% of the time. I've solid-mounted a balanced-and-blueprinted Chevy 355 V8 in a Camaro I owned and drove, it wasn't noticeable either, until I solid-mounted the trans also. The next Saturday I went back to Poly-mounting the trans. That one ran a 10.21 in the quarter mile, so Poly would have worked, but I was planning to add turbocharging.
