Does anyone know of any builders who have squeezed in an F20 into a locost? I think that I have enough height based on my nose cone and bonnet. I am mostly worried about the very tight pedal box since the s2k transmission in pretty wide. Just wondering if anyone has done it. This is a pic of what I am starting with. I removed the old toyota power plant and automatic (yes you heard right) transmission.

That bodywork is much taller than "normal" (as normal as Sevens tend to look). It wouldn't be surprising if an S2000 would fit with the extra headroom. Anyway, yes, a few have, try Googling "S2000 Locost".

I have an F22C S2000 in Scrap Metal (build log in signature link). If you need any measurements let me know. Tongboy also did an F20C and there are 3-5 other fairly active builds in progress with an S2000 engine.

I'm currently installing an S2000 engine from an '06 Honda into a 442e chassis. The engine just barely fits without using a hood scoop. Attached is a drawing showing dimensions of the engine (the dimensions are in millimeters).

Good luck,
Roy

That's one tiny engine! My guess is you mean inches.

My mistake - it is in inches.

Roy
