At 2400 bucks a pop, I think they're supporting their kid's college fund...

I know a lot of people get really excited about sequential shifters... but I keep remembering all the years I rode a motorcycle and hated having to toe all the way down 5-4-3-2-1 every single time I stopped, and 1-2-3-4-5 even when I had more than enough torque and no hurry, and 1-3-5 would have been fine.

I *like* being able to select any gear I want without being forced to go sequentially through every intervening gear.

I happen to be selling a dog-engagement straight-cut transmission. Perfect for the track but not so much for the street for much the same reasons. Perfect when you match gear speeds but you have to every single time to avoid grinding them. No relaxed shifting.
