Somewhere on the site there is an example or discussion of a build like this. Somewhere ... it may be in build logs or in engines.
I found one thread that looked positive but unfortunately it was not completed due to a new project coming up. Doesn't look like one has actually been completed.

Does FL allow marine engines in cars? Year model of the car when complete/titled? emission testing?
It would be a beast in a book frame, 300lbs, 170hp before you do anything to it.
https://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewto ... er#p128285Oh, and v8s don't normally fit in a book chassis. That is why there are 442, 221, etc. These are plus sizes in inches to keep it looking like a seven, but bigger.
Now that is a good question! I will bring that to his attention. We do not have emission testing but the paperwork could get interesting. He is shooting for something like 350 whp NA, or he may put a turbo on it. If it goes in a locost I have already recommended NA with ITB's.

Fits up to an "S10" 60 degree V6 GM bell huh... hmmm....
Yup, GM trans with ford flywheel and an international starter!

Talk about shake, rattle and roll! That engine was crap in a boat and would shake your teeth out in a lightweight frame like a Locost's. Keep in mind that a boat loads an engine like a truck going up a hill. Mercruiser engines (Chevy, Ford and custom Mercruiser based) are all set up for that load. A sports car loads the engine much differently, focusing much less on low RPM torque.

PS - My Mercruiser is in a boat.

I forgot about how those big fours shake.
If he does complete this it will not just be a stock engine. He talked to a few guys at Bonneville last year about what they have done to run them there. He has a boss head for it in inventory and is going to offset grind the crank to get rid of the big 2.500 rod end while changing the stroke. Goal is to lighten the rotating assembly to help keep the vibes low.
I wonder how the shake would be compared to the 3.3L in a model A?
