Hello folks, I'm located in MX and I have what I think, a viable engine, I have a wrecked 2005 Equinox (rear impact) that has a recently rebuilt engine, as the title says it's a member of the 60° v6 chevy engine family.

What I'd love to know is if anyone has experience with it? is it compatible with the T5 trans from the S10?

I have no experience with the LNJ. You'd be better off with an LA1 but the LNJ can work if you swap the parts that make it different from an LA1 for a lower profile engine and throttle by cable TB instead of by wire. There is more than one s10 T5 and bellhousing. You'd need an s10 trans bell that has a starter bulge on the left side.

Secondly, which design is known for having the least troubles installing a V6, book build? haynes roadster? 442? or just screw the rwd and go v6 midlana?
The least trouble is the largest car or 442.The least trouble v6-60 would be a rwd version with trans, such as a 85-93 camaro or s10 (avoid pre-85). You could probably find a complete one for $500-1000 with a lot more useful parts.

I am very uninformed in the locost building process because I don't want to spend on a project until I half know it will be viable, and having and engine could free up to 500-1000 usd for the build.

I suggest offering $250 or pass. I'd wonder why it was rebuilt, if it really was rebuilt, and the quality of the rebuild.
