Look at Keith Tanners car. Its probably the top end of the spectrum for stock motors, but pretty damn fast. There is also a Jalopnik article on a 1.6 engined Westfield. Should be about the same, as that depending on the build quality.

It's going to vary widely, but read this car and driver article for some times (several people are on this forum):

Mine was 6.5 seconds with a stock Toyota 1.6, with copious wheel spin through first and second gear (open diff at the time). I haven't checked since.

IMHO, it all depends on how low you can keep the weight...if you can keep it down to under 1200 lbs or so, I think a stock, healthy Miata motor should push 0-60 in the low-high 5 second range. My car is a long way from finished, but with the 2.0 Zetec on 45DCOE Webers/header, I'm hoping to be into the 4's. 1/4 mile times...I dunno, probably in the 12's, I expect, although drag racing isn't my forte. Handling is my primary goal, with quickness being next, and top speed a distant 3rd. I think that's realistic...my Porsche 944 has a top speed nudging 150 MPH with a 2.5 liter 4-banger, and it's heavy, but it's as slippery as an eel through the air...Locosts/Sevens etc. are as slippery as a sheet of plywood, flat-side to the wind. :?

Sorry, typo - 1/4 mile times probably in the 13's (or 14's), not the 12's. By the time the end of the 1/4 mile is approaching, I suspect that the giant catcher's mitt of air is having its effect on a Locost's aerodynamics (or, lack of them). They don't slice their way through the air, they bludgeon their way through...

Using this formula: http://www.cars-cars-cars.org/0-60-Times-Calculator.htm mine should be 6.1 seconds. Don't forget to use loaded weight.

This one ( http://www.060calculator.com/ ) suggests 5.4 seconds to glory.

116 hp for a stock 1.6, 128-133 for most 1.8 cars.

My car's a bit of an overachiever, making about 175 at the crank. But the FM Westfield was tested by Automobile and here's what it did:

those 0-60 calculators start diverging from reality as power/weight ratio goes up. According to those, I can do 0-60 between 2.2 to 2.5 seconds. I assure you that is not possible in my car - I suppose it's possible on drag slicks, but doubt it.

Oh, I don't know....getting rear-ended by a bus will definitely get you moving from a standing start.
