I have just posted the car on craigslist with new photos taken today.

Please tell your friends who love your car but do not have the skills or time to build one.

You are not helping my decision to double down on getting back to work on my build vs opening up the space for something a bit more 'immediate gratification' until the kiddo(s) are a bit older.

Justin, There is a lot to be said for "immediate gratification".

I received a reply to my Craigslist posting today. I wrote for people to text me and I will phone them back. I don't generally answer numbers I don't recognize. So someone called me and I let it go to voicemail. Payton from oncedriven.com was calling to offer his services. He has customers ready to buy..., for only a small fee..., call me before the end of the day...., blah blah blah. This, in spite of me listing "do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers" Good thing I googled the phone number for scams.

People, BEWARE!

Out of idle curiosity and for my own amusement, I looked them up. Not only are they getting away with this scam in general, they're even doing so under the guise of being a 501(c)3 'charity' so they're tax exempt. They hold the 'impressive' distinction of an F rating with the BBB...Also, expect more calls. :BH:

Yup so far, 3 calls and counting  They are persistent, if nothing else.

On another note, I've sold the car 2X so far. The car looked at, deals struck with agreed prices, but then no-shows when it came to the actual money transfer. What's with people these days? Have had nothing but good words even from the ones who decided against buying. I just need to find the right buyer..... (again). I'm patient.

Chuck, if you need to clear up space for your other projects, I'd be more than happy to let you store it at my place!

Mike,

What a generous offer. I assume if I were to store it at your place, that you would maintain it in perfect running order, start it, rotate the tires (around and around), and exercise the clutch and brakes regularly (every weekend or so?) that when I pick it up, everything would be in tip-top shape and ready to drive home?

That is quite an offer. Hmmmm......... Let me think about it and get back to you.

After due consideration, I've decided to decline your magnanimous offer. Thanks for your thoughts.

Congratulations, Chuck.

Now, we'll just have to see how long it takes before you build another one.

Cheers.

I know this is a necro-post and my car is long gone. I saw this today which is a direct call out to Payton (Peyten?) wherever he might be today. I had a good chuckle. If you've ever tried to sell a car on Craigslist and gotten a response from him, you might chuckle too.
