To everyone who hasn't seen this car up close... It's not just a car, it's a piece of art.
Wish I had enough money in the toys fund Chuck. GLWTS

Craigslist is very local, I think it will be tough to get a fair price for the car, I've not had much luck selling stuff.
Bring a trailer, Facebook and EBay are probably better options.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll have to check into Facebook. My son posted our boat on Some Facebook for sale site and the boat had calls within 1 hr. and was sold to someone 200 miles away in 2 days. Seems like I need to learn more about that avenue.

EBay and PayPal take too much of the sales IMO. It did get me a buyer's attention when I went to sell my MGA, which ended up selling off-ebay a month later.

Bring-a-trailer might be a good avenue too.

I've had good success with facebook marketplace recently on a bunch of small items from the move.
I sold my extra compressor in about 15 minutes and a living room suite in less than a day after it had sat on Craigslist for a week. Quite a few other small items in 1 to 2 days.

The shares on fb make it a powerful tool.

And how do you access FB Marketplace?

I use FB Groups but never seen FB Marketplace.

Marketplace only shows up on mobile devices.
You can place your listing in a group or multiple groups just by selecting the other groups of which you're a member.

On my phone I select distance for the results and they show up in order most recent to oldest from all of my groups. I haven't found a way to sort based on price. I can search on keywords. So when I'm looking to see if anyone has BMW wheels for example I first search BMW and if results are too numerous I search BMW wheels or 5x120 wheels.

I found Marketplace on my Facebook site on my laptop computer at home. Go over to the left side column entitled "Explore" and click on "See more" at the bottom. Marketplace will then pop up.

With your directions I found it on my computer, but I don't see it on my mobile.

Having seen this car in person, if I had the cash I would not hesitate for a second picking it up and driving it the 4hrs home.

Hey, Chuck, I saw your car on USA 7s and did have a thought. You might want to show your top in action: tilted up; and taken off. We all know how it works here, but they may not over there. If someone doesn't like the top. they can see how easy it is to take off - and put back on.

Just a thought. I'm sorry your deal fell through, though.

Cheers,

Safarali,

I just tried to call you. It went to voicemail. Please clear out your voicemail and I'll try again.

I think you need a minimum of 3 posts here before PM is allowed.
