http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/262828769606?The Wharton started life in March 2010 as a 1967 Austin Healey Mark IV Sprite. The Sprite came to me with an '85 Mazda 13B "old-school" rotary, a 5-speed manual and an Arkley SS body. The car is titled as that Mark IV, thus the collector tag. The WhartonRoadster.com frame was custom built to carry the 13B motor and transmission riding on the front spindles and independent rear end from a '97 Jag sprung by Aldan Eagle coil-overs.
In November 2014 we pulled the drive train and rear suspension. The engine was completely rebuilt, street ported and fitted with a Holley 650 cfm double-pumper. We replaced the Jag rear suspension with a 2004 Miata suspension and a 4.11 Torsen Differential from an RX-7. These mods lightened the car to just over 1600 pounds and upped the power to over 200 HP. The entire build is documented in pictures and with receipts.
