[SOLD]

This 2005 Super 7 replica car is registered in the state of Connecticut, located in Middlefield.
It is powered by a 2003 Yamaha R1 motorcycle engine (~150hp - plenty for a car this light- and redlines at 11,750 rpm) and has a 6 speed sequential gear box with an in line Quaife reverse box for backing up. We have both a limited slip rear end or a solid rear end for it.
The brakes are disks up front and drum in the rear with Wilwood dual masters and pedal box and the rest of the running gear is Mazda RX-7. The steering has quickener to speed it up. The interior includes Kirkey seats with 5 point Simpson harnesses and a motorcycle gauge cluster.

Originally registered and titled in 2005, we are the third owners. This car was my daily driver to work last summer and fall. If you commute on back roads, there isn't a more fun and interesting form of transportation out there! Be prepared for lots of waves - people love this car. It is a drivers car, not a show car.

Unfortunately, we bought a new house and my commute is now stop and go traffic on a major highway, so I regretfully am letting this car go to someone else to enjoy. The car's registration is current and it is emissions and inspection exempt if it stays registered in CT.

Happy to field any questions.

Now asking $8500

I test drove this car when it was sold by the guy you probably bought it from. It looks like the shifter linkage was fixed, did you fix it? It really bothered me that it was backwards when I was driving it. Which rear end is currently in the car?

Yes, the shifter linkage is now pull for upshifts, push for downshifts. I made this change immediately upon getting the car home. Easy to revert if anyone wanted to.

Various other maintenance since as well, clutch cable design improved, cable replaced, starter rebuilt, new front brake pads, big alignment fixes, plus the normal fluids/etc.

The welded rear end is in the car, the rx7 LSD has been opened up, visually inspected, and sealed with intent to install later.

Cool. It sounds like you addressed all the things that scared me away from it. Glad someone gave it some love and fixed it up a bit. Good luck with the sale.

Asking price reduced to $9500.
I am somewhat negotiable. Come out for a ride/drive, and you'll want to take this home!

Would consider certain trades, including 2 seater sports cars & a Wrangler.

Can you post some pictures of the engine bay, front and rear suspension, etc?

How wide are the seats? I'm 6'2", 35" waist, 220 lbs. Think I'd fit?

How much does the car weigh?

Thanks,
AP

The seats are Kirkey 15.5"
I am 5'11", 175 lbs, 33" waist and have some extra room.
There is tons of leg room for me.
I think you'd be fine, you're welcome to come out for a test-fit.

I have not had the car on scales. Similar cars seem to be ~1100 lbs, but this is a guess.

Front suspension: (disregard the battery tender wire running over upper ball joint.)

Rear suspension, a bit difficult to photograph:

Being a motorcycle engine, is a manual gearbox conversion out of the question?

I assume you mean a H-Pattern manual?
This has been done, but it does defeat one of the two biggest benefits of the motorcycle engine (1, revs/sound, and 2, the sequential manual)

If you just meant a manual transmission in that the shifter is mechanically coupled to the transmission and there is a clutch, then consider it already done.
