Hi fellow locosters. We recently returned from a 3000 mile road trip in our recently completed Locost. The trip took us from our home in Mobile Alabama, to Eureka Springs Arkansas, then east for a few hundred miles to Tellico Plains Tennessee to ride the motorcycle roads in the area, then back home to Mobile. We camped at Cane Creek State Park in Arkansas as well as Mt Nebo state park. Mt Nebo is absolutely breathtaking..... not a very tall mountain but beautiful. Also make a side trip to Petit Jean state park..... another jewel. We left Mt Nebo and headed up Hwy 7 running from thunderstorms. We made it to Eureka Springs that day but spent the better part of the next 3 days dodging rain. The rear tires on our 7 will sling water on the underside of the roof and it runs down on us. If it wasn't for that, we would have been pretty dry in the rain showers. Looking into fenders.......
We ran from rain leaving Eureka Springs and it chased us all the way to Nashville. Once we got to Tellico Plains we would get the occasional shower but did get some nice driving time on the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway.
The car did great, we averaged 21.8mpg pulling our little cargo trailer. Its a hoot to drive on the twistie roads for sure.
Planning on doing another trip to the Smokes, maybe wait for the leaves to start turning in the fall. Will make a few changes to the car first, fenders and a heater for sure. It was a great ride....
Had a great time!!!

Congratulations on a successful trip. Sounds like it was a blast.

Can you give us some more photos of your roof and how it is constructed? I like the Union Jack!

Love the hoodless car! I think that's my route when I'm that far along.
