Wanted everyone to know we got back safely and soundly. He slept most of way. Have to say though we did not get to drive or ride in runs we must say again it is also about seeing the people and finding out what has been happening. It has been awhile since I've been soaked in torrential rain. Hoping everyone there continues to have a great time.
He's been up in hot tub soaking now for two hrs. Also we can not be volunteered for next year only because we do not know what toys we can keep. :BH:

I had a great but short time in Onalaska. The drive was fantastic. The weather hot or wet take your pick. Thanks for organizing Steve.

Thanks to everyone that made the trek. We had a lot of fun, cars ran awesome and the weather was made to order. Was really great to reconnect with folks from last year. Some of what we saw in the pics

Mary and I survived what Mother Nature dished out and have arrived home in one piece. We had a bit of (torrential) rain after leaving Lacrosse, but the worst was over by the time we got to Dubuque. We did run through a couple of small showers after that but nothing major.

The car is far from weather tight (DUH!!!) but it also tends to hydroplane on the really wet pavement. That coupled with the bad visibility makes for an 'interesting' experience. Mechanically, however, it never missed a beat.

On the average, the temperatures were perfect: In the upper 50s at the start (in the rain) and the low 90s (in the sunny part).

The one bit of good luck we had was that the last rain shower we encountered started just as we were pulling into the garage at home.

Thanks again to Steve for putting the whole thing together. All your work is greatly appreciated. It was good to see old friends again and to make new ones.

Happy travels to one and all

Bill & Mary

Linda and I made it home safe. A bit of rain to start out this morning but less than an hour later, the rain subsided for the rest of the trip. We were safe inside the Jimmy. We had a great time. A big thanks go out to Steve (and Wally) for putting this all together. I'd have to say we had the best dinners at this Gathering than the others I have been to.

Do not put your new shirts in the dryer. I have first hand knowledge of this.

Thanks for putting it together Steve. I had a great time on Saturday. Any chance you could PM me a file with the route we took in the morning? I may go do it again!

I forgot to mention that Steve arranged for a great fireworks show as we were eating dessert samplers on the patio. Think next year's Gathering can match that? I doubt it

Steve, you did a FANTASTIC job as host! Thanks!

I had a great time seeing everyone again.

Graham, be sure to let us know what you find out on your car.

Thanks for the feedback. I have to admit it was fun going through the whole process. So we'll see if anyone is interested in planning 2017 gathering. If you are send me a PM I have ideas. :P. All of you made it really easy too. Pretty laid back group.
