I am mostly packed. Will finish this evening. I think I am bringing my whole house with me. Looking forward to 3-4 days of twisty roads. Russ and Jane

Carolyn and I will not be able to be there this year. Carolyn's mom just entered a nursing home and we feel we need to be near. Plus we have a huge amount things to do relative to her move from assisted living to the nursing home.

We are sad that we will not be seeing old friends again and making new friends.

Have a good time! Please post pictures. Don't drive in the rain.

Brent, bummer! Take care of your back. Don't lift anything.

That is too bad that you are not going to be there. I finally have an engine that I can keep up with you and you are a no show. TeeHee. Family always comes first. Nursing homes are always a major step for all concerned. See you next year, Russ and Jane

Sherron and I too have cancelled our journey to the event. Joey, Sherron's son received his ICD (Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator) this last Thursday, so Sherron wants to be near him. My baby daughter Megan 28, passed away on Monday.

We hope you all have a great time in fellowship, ride safely, and live and love strongly!

Dale

I'm going to miss you Cliff, Carolyn, Dale and Sherron. I understand that family comes first. To quote Suzy Orman, " People before things" or something like that. Maybe next year things will settle down and you will get some time for yourselves. In the mean time, do what needs to be done. and :zoom:

Sherron and Dale, we are so sad for you. Those two events caused us to miss two Midwest Gatherings. Our daughter died about four years ago and it's still difficult. It's so sad to outlive your children. However, our son who had the terrible heart attack is doing pretty well now, but it was a life altering event. We wish the best for you through this difficult time. I hope we can see you again at the 2017 gathering.

Russ, I would love to see your new engine and I bet it performs better than that 1.3 push rod engine from the 1970s. But, in anticipation of this week's event, I had a new set of BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S installed Tuesday to replace my rock hard six year old Kumhos, so I was going to have confidence--maybe too much.

Chuck, Please stay up late a night or too and drink too much beer and discuss politics. And go for two in a row of not getting sick. And one in a row of not banging up your tail gate.

And it's not likely but not impossible that we might drive up there for a day without the Stalker.

My plan is to drive up Saturday morning and meet the crew. Perhaps at the lunch stop? Looking forward to it.

Very cool Keith. How about tomorrow I give you a heads up on that stop, because I don't know where it is yet. I have 2 places Iam thinking about.

Sounds good. Ideally, I'd like to catch up even earlier in the day. I'll send you a PM.

So this is what we're bringing out. Should be fun but still not a match for the little ones. We expect to be eaten alive.
