Yeah, every time he talks about it, I remind him that you probably had the least HP of anyone there that day!

Did a little more looking and I think a good place to base it would be Mountain Home AR. Plenty of good roads and the area is a resort area so should be plenty of places to stay and eat. Bull Shoals is a beautiful lake and there is a ferry that runs across the lake that may be fun seeing it full of 7s.

Take a look at the pics from the 2011 "Gathering". You should find some pics of the ferry full of 7s!

And here I though I had an original idea.

If by "Harrison", you mean "The Hub" (which is actually in Marble Falls), that would be great! It worked very well the last time. That parking lot was a blast!

Fun spot! Near impossible to find at night. Using my cousin's phones GPS we missed it by 3 miles Turns out it missed every destination by 3 miles.

GPS's don't like the Ozarks unless you're in the big cities like Springfield or Joplin. Google Maps has a hard time with it, too. Enter my address into G/M and it shows my place being about 12 miles from where it is. Our County road's number was changed when we got 911 service several years ago. G/M still has our old CR#. Some of the city streets in Gainesville were changed about 11 years ago. Google maps still has the old names in many places. Bing Maps, OTOH, has it down.

Funny, I just typed in "the hub Arkansas" into google maps and it took me right there. I guess my Google fu is working:D

It generally works in areas with high tourist traffic, and the Harrison metroplex is probably as big as S'field or Joplin. Or, like you said, Chuck, maybe your "Google fu" IS working. Around here, we usually refer to it as "Google F/U"!

Called the Hub and this is whats open with now. May 11-14, May 25-28. The first 2 weeks of June are booked. We'll let this ride for a while and let people see what this looks like for their own Schedule.

Checking in to see what people are thinking on these dates. Just a reminder it may not be long until I have to shop for a new lodging location. I have a feeling stuff books up for spring down there.
