Hi,

I'm looking into the SV/CSR body styled 7 and wanted to sit in a few to get an idea of what I am wanting.

Is anyone around the IL that would be willing to let me sit in their car to get some ideas about the 7?

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm sorry I don't know what a book sized car refers to, can you elaborate for me?

Illinois is a big state. Where are you located. I am close to Graham (zip 60185) and also have a "book" car. Book frame refers to the book that started it all. "How to build a sports car for under 250£" . Book frame cars have 42" outside of frame to outside of frame to start. Because so many US based Locosts have different drivetrains, seats, tunnel, etc. seat space varies. I have seen Graham's car and suspect that the sitting experience will be different between his and my cars. But you are welcome to try both.

If you are looking at purchasing a built SV/CSR Caterham, you may try USA7s.com. There are more Caterham owners there than here. Most of the cars here are home built and each will be very different. If you are looking to build your own from scratch and are wanting it to be closest to the SV/CSR then we need to get some dimensions of the frame so we can find someone in your general area with a frame that is close to that size. Off the top of my head I do not know how the SV/CSR frames compare to a book frame or a mcsorley frame.

You may check out the faq page as it has a thread on frame sizes.
