Weekend of Feb 5, 12 (if the Chiefs are in it), Mar 19, April 16 and 30 are not good.

What about May May 4-7? Weekend before Mother's day. Kids will still be in school so that may impact some.

or

May 18-21? Weekend after Mother's day and weekend before Labor day?

I thought you were asking about weekends to help set up. Early May is good. 20-21 May is not good for me. But don't set date by my schedule. Russ

What is everyone's thoughts on having the gathering June 8-11th? This is a little later than we normally do, but rain chances should be less?

Hi Chris: Any location is fine with me. I think I missed the past gathering in Cuba, so that might be my first choice, but location is no big deal. I checked with my wife and either the May 18-21 or June 8-11 would work for us.

Bill

The Gathering is on for June 8-10, back in Jefferson City again. My car has been down for a Megasquirt install so I have not had time to get out and scout any location further away. I promise next year we will go somewhere new if I am the lucky one to organize it again.

Hotel will be the same - Holiday Inn 1590 Jefferson St. Jefferson City MO 65109 - 573-658-9077 - I called and confirmed they do not have any large groups this time like they did last year with the track meet. So we shouldn't have any problems with rooms.

Draft agenda below. I still need to do a final confirmation on the restaurants, but I have backups and back up routes if need be. I have also added a night run Thursday night for those interested.

1. Thursday June 8th (65 miles) – For those that arrive at hotel in time
a. Arrival at Holiday Inn, 1590 Jefferson St, Jefferson City, MO 65109
b. 4:00 PM Depart for cruise
c. 5:30 PM Arrive back at hotel
d. 6:00 PM Dinner PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub, 2300 Missouri Blvd, Jefferson City, MO 65109
e. Night run for those interested

2. Friday June 9th (200 miles) with Poker Run
a. 9:00 AM Depart Holiday Inn
i. Fuel up on your own before we leave hotel, see local gas station list
b. 12:00 PM Lunch at Randy’s Roadkill BBQ and Grill, 12670 Hwy E, Rolla MO 65401
c. 1:30 PM Depart Randy’s Roadkill BBQ and Grill
d. 2:00 PM Arrive at Roadside Lookout
e. 2:30 PM Depart Roadside Lookout
f. 5:00 PM Arrive at Hotel
g. 6:00 PM Dinner at Oscar’s Classic Diner, 2118 Schotthill Woods Dr, Jefferson City MO, 65101

3. Saturday June 10th (225 miles)
a. 9:00 Am Depart Holiday Inn
i. Fuel up on your own before we leave hotel, see local gas station list
b. 12:00 PM Lunch at Chophouse Grill, 63 Progress Lane, Linn MO 65051
c. 1:30 PM Depart Chophouse Grill
d. 5:00 PM Arrive at Missouri Capital for Picture, return to Hotel at your convenience
e. 6:00 Dinner at BluTaco, 135 City Plaza, Holts Summit, MO 65043

*all times are approximate

I'll have to keep an eye out for next year's event. Maybe the Midget will be done by then

I'm new to this forum, but I saw the post on usa7s. I missed this Gathering last year, but I'd be thrilled to come this year. Bummer that my wife will be out of town because she would also love this.

By way of introduction, my Seven is a 2004 Caterham SV with a supercharged Zetec. Yes, I know... contradictory to Chapman's mantra. But, it's so much fun. I acquired the car from the builder just over a year ago. So, I have nothing to add to the build expertise of this forum. Regardless, it would be a blast to meet up with this group, if I'm welcome!

I trust it's okay if I was only able to make it to the Saturday drive? I'd arrive in time for dinner Fri and be ready to go for Sat morning. I'd be driving my Seven from St. Louis, as I do not have a trailer (wish list... I live in the city, so space to store a trailer is a problem). That brings up my next question. With no trailer, is there any concern with parking at the Holiday Inn in Jeff City? I'd remove the steering wheel, of course (the only deterrent I have). For those who have been there, would you have any reservations parking at the hotel overnight with a tonneau and no steering wheel? This may come across as unnecessarily paranoid, but I live in St. Louis, so...

I appreciate the heads up about the event, and I hope to meet you in June!
