Welcome to the new moderators, hope you enjoy your stint in the Sunshine. This is the best Locost forum around for my money, always plenty of ideas being floated.
All the best from Down Under,
Mike.

Hi Club 7, thanks for the sentiments! Seems like Australia has a great scene for these style cars.

I've seen your signature before, is "the clubhouse" your shop or a collective effort? I like that in other countries these cars are so popular for racing etc. that people refer to them as "clubmans". I hope we can start a trend here too...

So, with this new leadership will we peons be granted the freedom to "misspell" aluminum if we choose?

I notice that now when I post a photo that is not part of my builders log it disappears the next day, and I have no issues with that as it all takes space, I only do it at times because a picture is sometimes easier than an explanation, though some are no doubt a little whimsical and as such have no real value.
I am looking for a guidline.
Should we just be posting in our builders log only, I looked to see if there is a guidline, but haven't found any as such.
I want ta be dooin the right thing here :D :D
Al

I'm not sure what you mean. Point me to a thread with a vanished image if you don't mind. I want to see what you are talking about.

I apologize, there does not appear to be an issue.
I just discovered that my automatic signon was disabled.
When it is disabled I cannot see any pictures as I am not logged in.
I logged in and everything is fine, for some reason my auto log dropped me two times in a row and as a result I got led to a wrong conclusion.
The mistake is mine
Al

That would still seem strange. I don't logon until I need to post something. Most times I'm just part of the unwashed massed browsing the forum and I haven't noticed a problem viewing pictures. Should I have?

You must mostly view the build logs then. We can adjust who gets to see what on a forum by forum basis. (only affecting pics attached to messages and hosted here) Not permitting unregistered users to view pics saves us a lot of bandwidth, which you know is expensive. Not only does this rule out hotlinking, it keeps the google-bots from downloading every image in the database 4 times a day which is a massive bandwidth drain.

We left the build log images alone since people want to show off their builds to people who are not registered here.

Actually, I think it was my own lack of observational skills. I've been real busy lately and just hitting the forum quickly and splitting. I just didn't notice I was missing pictures before logging in.

Hey chetcpo, how'd you get thumbnails to work on images posted via the IMG tags? Normally with phpBB it just crops the original sized picture instead of resizing it. Is it a mod?
