As above, I am looking at putting bullet style blinkers ontop of my front fenders. THE BOOK shows a couple of examples but no detail. I have seen a few online but not sure if I like the look. Has anyone put them on theirs?

Dale,
The bullet type were on the Series 2 Lotus that I drove. They weren't very visible in daylight, so when I drove my Caterham on the street, I added a second larger set on the front also.

Ron

Of course, this was due to the tiny 5 watt bulb. A modern LED would fix that.

Thanks
Visibility is my main concern ( even with looks) I may look into some of the heavy transport truck ones)

I was looking for some similar lights to put on my car on the sides of the nose, and was looking at cab marker lights for trucks, but they were bigger than I wanted. I found a set of flush mount turn signals for sport bikes that are a very similar style, but smaller. I'm pretty sure they have led's in them, but the ones I bought aren't dot approved, so I was going to install them after the inspection. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but might eventually. These are pretty close to what I bought, and I think they were around $25 at a motorcycle shop in Vancouver.

If you're not looking for LED style, I used vintage Harley bullet signal lights, dual filament.

I think I may be able to get away with the original mgb blinkers if I turn them vertically and run them up the leading edge beside the nose. I will still need a marker on the top of the fender or on the outside though.

I picked up a pair of 3.5 inch stainless driving lights and ordered some amber sealed beams for them. They will sit and lower than the 5 3/4 headlights. I hope they look OK. Just heading to Bucharest to service some equipment for a week. So hoping lights are in when I get home

I put those exact ones on my Bandit 1200. The stalk signals that came off the Bandit are in the 7 parts bin...

Luckily I still have a set of the correct Lucas lamps from back when they were easier to find.
They do need a bit of refurbishing and I wonder how to upgrade to a brighter LED.
If I ever get back to having some free time I hope to use them and the clamshells I have on a Spit/GT6 donor build.

As to VW fender lights, PLEASE do not!
Oversize and ungainly, they make any car that is not a VW look like a cheaply done VW kit car.

Check a motorcycle salvage or search Ebay
