So as far as i can tell right now, my fuel pump isn't priming or running (it deos run if I ground out the pump manually). The car is not wired with a main relay but like the attached. I don't hear it prime or run when i flip on the accessory and main switch. Does it need a sensor power input to keep it running once the engine starts along with the A7 pin from the ECU? Or does and will the A7 pin prime and keep running?

this is how that main relay works (i guess)

here is how I have the pump wired

You can build the most awesome thing in the world but at some point, an 80yr old man in a crx is probably going kick your butt on the track... don't ask me how I know.

Here is how someone got the OBD0 version to work. pretty much the same thing as mine... don't know if it is priming though.

Terminals lined out in red are not connected, correct?
It looks like you need a signal at B9 during start but that shouldn't effect run.

If you mean starter and alternator... yes.

I know this doesn't address the root problem of getting the system to work correctly but when I was having (am still having) fuel pump problems I ended up disconnecting the wiring harness from the pump. I ran a wire from the hot side of the battery to an inline fuse to a switch under the dash then back to the pump. I ran a wire from the ground side of the pump to the ground strap of the battery. That way the pump had to have power when the switch was on. Either it ran or it was bad, no other option. This will get you to your appointment if you can't get things figured out right now. After driving my car for a while like that, I put it back to the right way and kept looking for something other than electrical troubles.

It was just a thought, some vehice`s ecu look to the alternator (phase tap or pulse wire for the rev counter) for a run signal. Looking at the lower relay pic then as the relay coil is fed a permanent live from the ignition you should be looking for a switched earth from the ecu going to 8 on the relay.. Is that earth present at 8 when cranking?

Sounds simple but what's the best way to do that on a multimeter??

One of these cheap testers will do, to test for an earth put the crocodile clip on the live terminal of the battery and touch the earth with the probe.

I kept mine extremely simple.

I have 2 switches and the starter button. The 1st switch is a kill switch. The 2nd switch turns on the ECU, Fan and fuel pump.

Start procedure.
Switch 1, then switch 2, wait 2 seconds and start.
