This isn't really Locost specific, but there's so much knowledge and experience here. I thought this is the best place for it. The Guage is a Ford Racing Autometer engine temp gauge.
So the sender broke off the end while I was moving it from one location to another. Through some research I've found this is actually able to be repaired. The link below explains it.
http://www.ply33.com/Repair/tempgaugeMy question is, from what I've read, the sensor bulb is filled with Ether. I do not want to buy another working gauge just to cut the bulb off. If I have to spend any money, I'll just replace the entire gauge with a new one. So does anyone know if I could just buy diesel starting fluid. Then spray it in a cup and fill my bulb with a syringe?
I'm not even sure if the starting fluid is even Ether anymore..?
In the picture, the one on the left is the one that needs repair. The other is your typical electric sender from Autometer.
