I am trying to identify this connector. it is on the back of the engine near the firewall. I have had to purchase multiple wiring harnesses along the way as the original engine only had one. I have purhased Dash, Insturment, Left engine, Right engine and rear harness. I do not find any connections on the existing harness that fit this connector. Can anyone who has used the s2000 as there engine enlighten me?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What S2000 engine do you have (year?) and what year harness do you have?

It looks like the connecter for the coolant sensor which is located under the thingamabob that I removed.I think you have the newer AP2 engine but this is what my engine looks like in that area.

Actually it connects to the IAC (Idle Air control) Valve on the side of the engine.

That's it!. My son had taken the valve cover off for me to paint it and when I put it back, I attached the bracket that held the wiring loom in wrong location so it looked like I was missing something. I just need to move bracket and it will plug in.

Really appreciate the help

Figured out how to defeat immobilizer on S2000.
All the immobilizer does is power the fuel pump if the key is coded to ECU. If key is not coded, it shuts off power to fuel pump after 2 seconds. Reading the electrical manual that Sam sent me, the net effect is if it matches the code from immobilizer ECU sends signal to ground the relay that powers fuel pump. By simply ignoring the signal from ECU and grounding the relay, the pump will run. It will display the green key on gauge cluster but that is all.

Thanks to Paul and Sam for the input and Electrical diagrams.

UPDATE: Revised processes

Ok. Got it running. Agree that the immobilizer does more than control fuel pump. After removing immobilizer circuit board as Paul suggested, I was able to get spark and after my son found an open vacuum line, it now runs. Here is video

Whoop whoop Congratulations!!!!!!

It is idling nice. I just had my injectors cleaned and it made a world of difference to how the engine runs. You should be able to get them cleaned and flow tested for about $20 per injector. In my opinion that is a very sound investment. How long before the first drive then? Once you give the engine a good run it will start to sound real nice.

Good suggestion on injectors. Engine has been idle for 8 years. Amazed that it ran. Need to clean up all the wiring and fix leak around radiator temp sensor. Still have to build headers and a ton of other stuff but feels like I'm on downhill side now.
