While at the races this weekend I spotted an unlikely source for headlights, turn signals, the whole package. That is if anyone is building a full body and needs headlights to be integrated into a fender profile similar to Prototype cars.

It also had a reasonable rear view mirror. It wasn't as big as you'd expect, considering the source and had a modicum or streamlining.

Yes, that is a Volvo Semi.

Hmmm. The symbol makes it look like an Acura semi.

It was the Acura Team's semi so they decided to play with everyone's head.

Hey, I think those lights look pretty good! Nice job!

It looks like they might be from the Volvo VNL series of trucks. http://www.volvotrucks.com/trucks/na/en ... rview.aspx

And here you go! http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... t&_sacat=0

WOW! Now that's service!

They're actually a little cheaper than I expected. I thought they'd be very low demand and therefore a very high price. I've never seen them on and running down the road, but I'd expect that they must put out a good amount of light since you know - SEMI !

Hopefully this will help someone.

Yeah, I'm surprised there are so many different aftermarket ones available. And I agree that the price is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Those are too cool! I've made an appointment with our nearest Volvo Truck dealer and I'll check them out. I can imagine something similar to my avatar (or the <Bolt-On Lotus 7 LeMans Kit??> topic at <http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18078>) with those headlights. Movin' up to the 21st Century, I am.

I'll check at the parts counter re the year range, but it looks like the same headlight case dimensions for VNL trucks 2004-2016. I'll be curious how much the beams can be adjusted...they may not fit a sports car body quite right unless they can be tilted a bit.

The mirrors don't look bad, either.

I honestly thought they were Cadillac lights when I first popped open the thread.

The CTX, and 04-09 SRX have similarly styled headlights, for much less than $4-500/set.

When you cover a million miles you run a good risk of hitting a deer and that'll take out your headlights so there's a bit of a demand. Noses for trucks are pretty good sellers.
