I am using a hodgepodge (technical term) of parts. I am wondering if i can use the Ford T-bird rear or Lexus front ABS sensors for my BMW speedometer. I am sure some math will be required to "calibrate" it.

They all work off of the same principle so it shouldn't matter. You'll just need to figure out if its un-powered (VR - 2 wires) or powered (hall effect - 3 wires) and make sure it matches the speedometer.

FWIW I'm using a CBR600 F4i crank position sensor for my speedometer.

You might check to see what the pulses per mile, revolution, etc the speedo can calibrate to. You may have to remove some of the teeth on the hub to lower the pulses.

Hi Mnot.
How did you go with this?
Did you manage to make it work?
Thanks in advance.

It'll very much matter what voltage level the speedo expects. Hall Effect and inductive give very different signals.

Thanks for the reply,
I was going through my pile of parts and my Adewell Unit comes with sensor ans magnet, so, Magnetic Pick Up will be.
Now to sort install, but that´ll be after I shorten my propshaft.
Best regards.
