Hello
I am at the point of having to spend some cash on tires for the little car,
I am looking for 195/55-r15s to fit a 7 inch rim. The above are roughly in my price range and seem to be rated well, Is anyone using them?
Thanks Dale

I don't have the BFG tires you mention, but I am also in the market for new shoes this year. I am looking at the Dunlop Direzza DZ-102's, The BFG's test a bit better then the Dunlops over on Tirerack. I probably would choose the BFG's but they don't come in my size, 205/50R15's.

I used to run the BFG's on my VR6 and i loved them (had a few sets). They were a good compromise of wet/street/comp. They wore fairly well and gave me good confidence at the limit. I have them on my 7 but I am not even close to testing them yet.

Chuck, the size I ran on the VR6 was 205/50/15. I am running 205/50/16 on the 7

Gavin, unless I am misreading the BF Goodrich website, they don't have anything in 15" sizes. Am I missing something?

I am not familiar with those tires, but I may be able to assist you with tire selection if you like:

-what is your intent for the tires? Things like dry weather only, how many miles/years you want, track-days?
-can you fit a 205/50r15? Will give you more performance options.
-what is budget?

Chuck, it appears that you are correct. The closest they have in your size is 195/50/15 and 195/55/15. I guess they dropped the 205. sorry for the confusion.

I have ordered the bfg sport comp 2 from costco to be put on this Friday. Not a bad price for Canada 618.00 mounted and balanced. Thats for 195-55-15 I was looking for a 22 to 23 inch tire and one that was good in the wet. the last thing I want is no traction at all if getting caught out in the rain, 12 years into the build I don't want to trash it.
