Look on Summit's site: https://www.summitracing.com/search/dep ... individual

There are a bunch of options. Russell Performance makes DOT approved individual hoses.

@mgkluft
:rofl: Yup, I got you on the groan thing. I'm going to fit soft hand grips, so I can get out of the darned seat once I'm down in it and have driven around a while.

Thanks for the tip on the DOT line. My line is definitely DOT approved and meets an established SAE standard too. As to the AN fittings, we'll have to see what happens, I guess. Kurt (KB58) didn't feel our local inspection was that rigorous. But, it all depends on who you get for the inspector. Fingers crossed!

@cs3tcr
Thank you for those pointers, Rod. At 23" of length, I guess your fate was sealed. It's great you found a good local shop, however. I now have a fall-back in case I can't find what I need, but it looks like I will do so.

@a.moore
Thanks for the pointer, Andrew.

Cheers,

I had my clutch hose made by Pegasus auto racing supplies and was planning looking into them as an option when I did my brake hoses. They let you choose the hose length and type fitting ends and angle between fittings and then give you a price. They have tons of banjo fittings options and I spotted a -3an bulkhead fitting in there also. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group-customhose.asp?GroupID=CUSTOMHOSE

@WelderLee

Thanks, Lee. I've done business with Pegasus, Summit and Speedway, so I possibly have three ready-made choices now.

Cheers,

I stick with AN3 and build my own. The fittings from Speedway are a little easier to use. Don't try cutting the SS braided hose with anything but a cutoff wheel. Some sanctioning bodies and DMVs may not accept anything but swaged fitting but I've never had a problem with mine.

I had some custom AN brake lines made by the Earl's Plumbing shop a few years back. I think this is the same location and IIRC the same folks: https://www.anplumbing.com/

I stopped by their shop when I first got into dealing with AN fittings. Customer support, quality and price were great. You might want to check with them. If nothing else, it could help sort out your options.

@papak
I get what you're saying. I looked at the "How-tos" on making your own braided lines, but decided the 4 disk brakes on my home-built car wasn't wasn't a good place to start my learning experience. :D I've decided I'll let someone experienced, and who does it for a living, make them instead. I'm making so much of my car now that I feel it's money well spent. I'm OK with the hard lines. They're much simpler.

Thanks for the heads-up, however.

@seattletom
Thanks for the tip, Tom. I'll check them out.

Cheers,
