Hi Guys,

I been trying to get some help. But I am not clear to where I should start.

I have finished my frame and is starting to build the control arms per the Vodou Frame. These should be done soon.

At this point, I am not sure where the shock suspension brackets should be welded, what kind of shocks I need, and what kind of dimensions/metric I should use to make sure I am doing this right. Can someone give me pointers of where to look?

This is all really new to me, so I apologize if it seems like silly question.

There is a thread here that supposedly has the wishbone plans for that chassis design. Have you checked this:

Vodou plans thread ==> https://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewto ... 39&t=16942

Do let us know if the plans there solves you problem.

Cheers,

I'm not having problems with the wishbones. I was planning to follow Vodou plan's wishbones. The problem is where the shock mounts should be located on the frame, what kind of shocks do I get?

As you probably know shocks come in all lengths and dampening values, some adjustable and coilovers with different spring constants. Without sounding like an advertisement for Jack, his site has some information about GAZ shocks and there's also a nice spreadsheet you can use for design purposes.

Here's a link for his site. http://www.kineticvehicles.com/Shocks.html

And here's the link from his site that talks about GAZ shocks:

http://coilovershock.com/suspension_worksheet.htm

Hope this helps get you started.

Cheers,
Roy
