I figured it'd be nice to start a database of hubs that bolt on to uprights in the case that people want to design and build their own. This is similar to the uprights database but you know... with hubs. I'll include Wheel bolt pattern because it's just a bit useful :)

I don't have a lot to start with but here goes.

240SX Bolt :: 4X114.3
Chevy Cavalier :: Bolt :: 5X100
Volvo (Nearly every one from 1995 to present) Not the 960/S90/V90 though :: Bolt :: Typically 5X108 - 40 series is 4X114.3
1979 - 1985 Buick Cadillac Chevrolet Oldsmobile Riviera Eldorado Seville Astro Blazer LLV Toronado :: Bolt :: 5 x 4 3/4 positive offset
1982 - 1994 GMC Jimmy Pickup Typhoon Safari Sanoma :: Bolt :: 5 x 4 3/4 positive offset

240sx's also had an optional 5x114.5 after 95 and you can buy 5 lug hubs for the older ones as well. I'm done adding to the confusion now.

Every application where power is applied through a cv to the wheel should have a bolt-on hub.

5x100 cars typically have vented 9" rotors and single piston ferrous calipers with 14" and 15" wheels.
5x114.3 cars have bigger bearings, upright bolt pattern, axles, brakes, and multi-piston aluminum calipers with 16" wheels.

In case you haven't seen this yet, here is a great link with a ton of driven and undriven hub dimensions:

I found this while looking for bolt on hubs for custom uprights. all of their hub bearings are not on the catalog. To get to the hub bearings, you must click specifications at the top, then National Hub Assemblys, then driven or non driven in product sub catagory, then abs sensor type in the last window, then click search. specifications are given for each hub bearing, but some are a little cryptic, specs for the fiero rear hub can be found by searching part 513011k in the search window. That fiero part also works at advance auto parts website.

I seem to recall their part numbers crossing to parts stores' websites as well so you don't even really need to know the car to find the part.

1984-1996 Corvette :: Bolt :: 5 x 4.75

I have found a few cars that have IRS and press-fit hubs. I plan to use the diff from a SuperCoupe which uses press-fit hubs and I'd like to be able to make my own uprights.

Correction: the transverse drivetrain setups I've seen have all used bolt on hubs, but I have not seen them all.

I have a pair of the aluminum tbird irs uprights (I didn't think about looking at those when I posted before). Would you like me to weigh them?

That'd be great if it isn't too much trouble. I think I settled on using a 5x114.3 bolt pattern because of the availability of 5 bolt 15" wheels. I am having trouble finding any other 15" wheels with other 5 bolt patterns. Maybe I don't need to worry about the difference between 4bolt and 5bolt but it seems a bit of safety without much gain in weight (at least in the 5x114.3 vs 4x114.3)

I'm travelling. I'll weigh them when I get home.

I may have found exactly what I was looking for in the Mitsubishi Hubs.

Mitsubishi (All Models) 4x114.3, 5x114.3, 6x139.7

Mitsubishi (Every Model that I can find on Ebay) has a bolt on Hub&Carrier

Here's a link to an official PDF for Timken bolt on wheel hubs, listing all the applications for many makes and models with part numbers and dimensions for 1990 and newer automotive hubs. Warning though it's a 4.5mb file.

FWIW, the tbird upright weighs about 8 lbs with bearings, bushings, and bolts. The bolts are torx T-50 and have a 15mm hex head.

No, the bolts are for the backing plate of a drum brake. The attachment has to be strong since the braking force is transferred through it to the upright.

There is a snap ring on the back side which holds the bearing in place. The bearing is a massive double roller.
