You can do it, it's been done. You don't get camber correction and if the wheels are moving forward and backward as they rise and fail those are anti forces like anti dive or anti squat.These would be equivalent of the geometric anti-roll forces in a normal orientation of the arms.

This depends heavily on which suspension design philosophies you subscribe to, and how advanced of a computer program you have performing the analysis.
