Locost- Homebuilt Lotus Seven replica.

BEC- Bike engined car.
Middy- Mid engined car.

Expressions
IMHO = In my humble option, a way of expressing your opion or putting in your 2 cents
PITA = Pain in the @ss, problems and difficulties
YMMV = Your mileage may vary, You experience maybe different than mine
KISS = Keep it simple, stupid (rarely heard on this forum)
GLWYB = Good luck with your build

Parts
Uprights/Knuckles = Front spindles/hubs
Scuttle = bodywork between the dash and the upper firewall
Boot = trunk area
Bonnet = Hood

Abbreviations
WOT- Wide open throttle.
CEL- Check engine light.
TB- Throttle body or Timing Belt
ITBs- Individual throttle bodies
PCM/ECU- Car's computer
IRS- Independent rear suspension.
SRA- Solid rear axle.

If you see any missing, post them!

RC = Roll Center
CG = Center of Gravity
RWD = Rear Wheel Drive
FWD = Front Wheel Drive
U/J = Universal Joint
CR = Compression Ratio

PCM=powertrain control module
OBD-I/II=onboard diagnostics phase 1or2
ALDL=assmbly line diagnostic link connection to ECM used for trouble codes
FLASH= a term used meaning reprograme ECM
EGR=exhaust gas recirculation
PCV= positive crankcase ventilation
MS-II/III=MegaSquirt version 2 or 3 you build it ECU
IAC=idle air control
FI=fuel injection
TBI=throttle body injection
PFI=port fuel injection
IR=individual runner a design of intake manifold
INT=intake
EXH=exh
CLY=cylinder
ENG=engine
V-6=6cyl eng in "V" configuration
V-8=8cyl eng in "V" configuration
I-4= 4cyl eng in Inline configuration
HP=horsepower or high performance
Torq=a measure of the twisting force
Trans=transmission
OD=over drive
T-5= medium duty 5speed transmission 5th gear is an OD
WC= world class improved stronger version of T-5
NWC=nonworld class T-5
T-56=heavy duty 6speed transmission 5th & 6th are OD
OEM= original equipment manufacture
Turbo=turbocharger exh. driven supercharger
MIG=metal inert gas a form of welding
TIG=tugsten inert gas a form of welding
DOM=drawn over manderal a kind of steel tubing
MILD=most common form of low carbon steel round, square or sheet
