I am currently trying to find a supplier of 1020 or 1020 DOM but for the life of me I am unable to find anything in New Zealand. I know this is a US site but we don't have anything like this either where I can ask for help. If there are any kiwis out there who can help, please do!

Thanks

Thanks a lot! I will try it. It can get very confusing with all the different standards going around :/

unless your needing it for a very specific reason, i would just ask for steel and dom and not worry about it... whats it for if you dont mind me asking?

there are litterially thousands of differnt types of metal/alloys/special names that mfg's just give the same metal.. ect...

SAE/AISI method (most common, in USA): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAE_steel_grades
ASTM method: http://www.strittandpriebe.com/content/ ... -chart.pdf
cross reference guide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_grades

idk what method Zealand uses, im guessing maybe EN...? hope this helps
