Appreciated. The glass shop asked if I wanted grey so why not. I hope it does not interfere with licensing.

Yo-
Looks like you been too busy to post stuff!

Next time you're hanging around your shop, not doin' much  ... Would you mind taking a pic of the bodywork in the nose around the "extractor" vent for the radiator? I might wanna steal some of that shape from ya... If you don't mind. (Don't worry, if mine looks like :ack: doo-doo, I won't use you for a reference.) I would really appreciate seeing it up close.

Take Care-
JD Kemp

Very nice work on the mold. I admire anyone who is willing to spend the time and effort to do it the right way. Its definitely worth it in the end.

What did you use to spray the gel coat?

A harbor freight or similar gun that is modified to become a pressure pot gun works very well to spray gel coat. An inexpensive regulator, some fittings and a little hose is all it takes. I use about 30/40 psi in the air line and regulate between 10/20 psi in the cup. The needle needs to seal in the nozzle or the liquid will shoot out of the tip when you release the trigger!! I know.

Also included is the sheetmetal used to create the flange in the nose mold.

It is finally a roller and almost a driver. Main wiring done - heater, wiper, all lights, horns, MS2 FI, EDIS ignition and cruise control. Brakes bled (very easy even with low M/cyls), clutch bled and throttle done. Engine cranked for oil pressure, fuel pump working and have spark - now to setup and tune the Megasquirt.
Rear body to finish(glass over plywood), panels to mount and then paint - "Mustang yellow" maybe?? Aluminum will be left natural.

It looks great in the daylight. How much longer until the first drive?

Thanks for the comments!
I finished the final mods to the Megasquirt tonight. Start tomorrow?? Then the tuning. I may drive sans body in the neighborhood soon. The rear body has exposed wood at present and I need to seal it with a couple layers of fiberglass before it gets contaminated with water/oil.
It felt great to finally put it on its wheels (better ones coming?) and get it outside.

Yo JMR-
It's looking really good! I like the low-n-wide look of the front end, and really like the rear fenders and deck. Gonna be awesome when it's all done!

Keep us posted on startup and tuning! Videos, of course...

I had to register on here to give props to a local guy; that car is unique and very cool. So-cal meets sixties Europe.
I can only hope that someday I will have the time to develop such a car. Often with ex-race cars it is the history that makes them more interesting, I think that applies here to the builder.
That car should be lots of fun, great timing too, with the nice weather headed our way.
