I bought this as a kit from the uk that i tacked together then had professionally welded. it measures about 3 inches from the bottom of the block gaining a bit of ground clearance. It has trap doors and windage tray to keep the oil where it needs to be. its about 85% done. the windage tray needs to be welded on, a dipstick tube needs to be made, and there may be some grinding needed to get all the bolts to seat. This will be a good low buck option with just a little bit of work needed. Im asking $250 plus exact shipping to your loacation. Im located in south carolina. thanks -this has been sold

is this for an in line, north/south config,

does it require a modified pick up,

what is the cast pan you are comparing it with from, is it transverse, because the ranger pan is much deeper than that.

can you do us all a favor, and make some templates from it so we can duplicate it

yes I believe this is for longitudinally mounted engines. thats how i was going to use it and thats how the designer used it also. It was actually designed by a guy on the uk locost forum, he had a supercharged duratec in a kit car seven. You do have to modify your pick up tube. i believe removing maybe a half inch. i have the instructions still if anyone wants to read them. just send me a PM and i will forward them to you. The cast pan pictured is a stock focus 2.0 pan. If it wasn't all welded together i guess it could have been duplicated. the kit just consisted of a bunch of flat metal laser cut. It would have been nice to have had an aluminum one, but i didnt have a way of welding aluminum. Also i have heard that there may be clearance issues with the windage tray on 2.3's. It most likely can be trimmed to clear the 2.3s crankshaft. There isn't any issue with the 2.0.
